5. Your IPTV provider

Excalibur AI TV is a player. It does not supply, resell, host, or index channels or content.

You connect a playlist or provider account for a service you already use. When you play a channel, Excalibur AI TV connects directly from your device to that provider using the credentials you entered.

Your provider may see your IP address, what you watch, when you watch it, and other information it chooses to collect. That relationship is between you and your provider and is governed by the provider’s own privacy policy.

6. Optional AI features

Excalibur AI TV includes optional AI-powered features that can describe what is on screen, suggest something to watch, and answer questions about your channels and content.

These features remain off unless you provide your own API key from Anthropic or OpenAI. Without a key, they do not operate.

If you enable them, requests are sent directly from your device to the AI provider you choose and are authenticated using your own API key. They do not pass through SmartMax Software, and we do not receive or review them. Depending on the feature you use, a request may include:

• the names, groups and guide listings of channels in your lineup;
• a still image captured from the video currently playing, when you ask the app what is on screen;
• a limited summary of your viewing preferences used to improve recommendations.

Information sent to Anthropic or OpenAI is handled under your agreement with that provider and its applicable privacy terms. Any charges associated with use of your API key are billed by that provider.

Removing your API key in Settings disables these AI features.

7. Purchases

Purchases and free trials are handled by Apple through the App Store. SmartMax Software does not receive your name, payment details, or billing address. The app receives only the information needed to confirm that a purchase or subscription is valid and current.

Purchase records are maintained by Apple. Subscriptions are managed or cancelled through your Apple account settings, and refund requests are handled by Apple.

8. Children

Excalibur AI TV is not directed to children, and SmartMax Software does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Because the app can play channels supplied by your provider, Excalibur AI TV includes a PIN-based adult-content lock. The PIN is stored on your device and is not sent to SmartMax Software.

9. Your rights

Data-protection laws, including the GDPR and CCPA, may give you rights concerning personal information a company holds about you, including rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of that information.

SmartMax Software does not hold personal information about your use of Excalibur AI TV.

Your app information is stored on your devices or, where you enable synchronization, through your personal Apple iCloud account. To remove locally stored information, delete the app from your device. Information synchronized through Apple services may need to be managed separately through your Apple account or device settings.

10. Security

Credentials and API keys are stored in Apple Keychain rather than ordinary app storage or log files. Where supported by Apple, synchronized Keychain information is protected through Apple’s security and encryption services.

The security of the connection to your IPTV provider depends on the service and address that provider gives you. If your provider supports HTTPS, we recommend using the secure HTTPS address whenever available.

11. Changes to this policy

If this Privacy Policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and publish the current version here.

If Excalibur AI TV changes how it collects or handles information, we will update this policy and, where applicable, the app’s privacy disclosures in the App Store.

12. Important Notice

Excalibur AI TV is an IPTV player app designed to help users organize, browse, and play content from their own compatible accounts and playlists. Excalibur does not supply, sell, or distribute television programming, channels, movies, streaming subscriptions, or playlists.

Users must obtain content separately from lawful, authorized sources and are responsible for ensuring they have permission to access, stream, and, where supported, record that content. Unauthorized use of copyrighted content is prohibited. Purchasing Excalibur does not grant rights to any third-party programming or permission to bypass access restrictions.Recording and MultiView are subject to provider permissions and simultaneous-stream limits. Content availability, stream quality, and supported features depend on the connected provider, subscription, network connection, and compatible equipment.
